The Hamlin School | San Francisco, CA

The Hamlin School, an independent elementary school for girls housed by a historic mansion, is located on Broadway St. in San Francisco. The school embarked on a seismic retrofit and added new ADA restrooms, new classrooms, a new elevator and a new heating and ventilating system. The mechanical systems were integrated with the building elements to maintain its historic character. High efficiency boilers, flat panel radiators, heating elements placed under the bookshelves, natural ventilation complemented the high efficiency lighting and other architectural improvements. Mechanical Design Studio provided full mechanical and plumbing design services.
