Fairview Elementary School | Hayward, CA

The Fairview Elementary School in Hayward is a complete replacement of an existing school. The 55,000 sqft 2 story classroom and administration building and the one story 7,000 sqft multipurpose room with kitchen wrap around new sports fields and an organic garden. Using VRF HVAC systems and classroom VAV roof top packages the project achieved an energy rating of 30% better than Title 24 requirements. Complementing the HVAC systems, solar PV systems installed by the District, highly efficient building envelope and lighting contributed to obtaining the CHPS rating for the school. MDS provided full mechanical and plumbing engineering services.
