Hoover Pavilion Parking Sturcture | Palo Alto, CA

The new Hoover garage, a nine-level structure (with three levels below ground) adds more than 1,000 new parking spaces for employees, patients and staff, and is constructed of precast elements. MDS provided design assist engineering services for the HVAC and Plumbing systems. Using a CFD (computational fluid dynamics) model, the underground parking levels are ventilated using main intake and exhaust fans and in line small and energy efficient thrust fans which circulate air from the injection to the extraction points. The VFD driven main fans are controlled by CO sensors placed at all levels.

The project was completed in 2013.
